Finding Joy in an Ordinary yet Simple Life.

When you live a simple life, it's confined, it's boring, sometimes there is not enough chaos for certain people, or sometimes people just enjoy the hustle and bustle of daily life with loads of things to do, but if you're somebody who can feel stressed very easily or overstimulated very quickly, living in nature just has so much peace and tranquilly that I find myself able to breathe easier when surrounded by nature, be more calm, and live a more balanced life. Society is always telling us that we need to do more and achieve more, so if you're not engaged in those types of activities, it may look boring to certain people, but in fact, there is definitely nothing boring about watching spring, summer, autumn, and winter change all the wonderful nuances of nature. There really never is a dull moment, and yet it's not something that you can put your finger on if you were telling people what you do and saying that you hold value in things like watching the tadpoles grow, listening to the birds eagerly making their nests, and watching as they pick up the little feathers and fly away to their chosen little home. Sometimes certain people would think that you're insane because how can something so simple and so beautiful be so fulfilling when we choose to live a more simple life, eager to be more sustainable, more relaxing, and less stressful? At the beginning, we might find it hard to let go; we felt guilty, and we often hardened ourselves for not achieving more and doing more, but as the years slowly pass, you find that it gets easier, that type of pressure on yourself starts to drift away, and you see the benefit of relishing in the really simple things in life, the things that not everybody can see, the things that bring so much joy and yet other people can find boring. What I find so pertinent about living a boring life is that you have more time to reflect, more time to recharge your body and your mind, and more time to find out who you truly are and what you truly like and enjoy. We're always looking for what we can do next, and yet sometimes just getting back to the absolute basics is all we need. It's like you're wanting to be less busy doing less but the things you do you have huge attention with them. You can enjoy them more, you're conscious that you're not filling every single moment. Joy can be made by making a little fairy door and popping it in the house, allowing a little bit of magic into your life. It doesn't have to be hugely important to the outside world, as long as it's important to you. As long as you're nurturing yourself and the people you care for, the rest doesn't matter.
