Silence is feared by so many people. Every room has a television, radios are always on, and cellphones are everywhere. Words have a life of their own. Pay attention to what you say. We can't see the words we speak. However, words have power. Don't be terrified of the void and the moments when there is nothing to say. Those are the instances when we should seek advice from wisdom. What should we do or say next? We don't have to respond with words all of the time. We can respond with a nod of agreement. We have the option of responding with a hug. With a gentle smile, we can respond. With some softness in our eyes, we can respond. We have the option of responding with forgiveness. Acceptance is an acceptable response. Sometimes, silence can be the best answer possible.

Because they've never learned to befriend themselves, people are afraid of silence. They've never learned to accept themselves as they are. I haven't always been pleased with myself. Oftentimes I still don't like myself. Moments of silence will not be frightening if you can learn to accept yourself for who you are. It took a long time for me to accept this. Being quiet was the beginning of the journey. I've learned to let go of things as a result of it. It has taught me to truly get to know myself. Bitterness, rage, and resentment should all be let go of. We weren't designed to carry those emotions around with us.

When we let go, we'll give ourselves permission to start living. Sometimes the day just disappears. Because we are so busy, it happens so easily. It feels as though I'm spinning out of control when I don't make time for myself and draw apart. I feel as if I'm losing my balance. You know how your house looks after a chaotic visit? That's how the heart feels. Everything is skewed, and everything is in places it shouldn't be. So I'm going to try to find some peace. Just a little dusting, a little polishing here and there on the furnishings in my heart. I definitely came back a better person.

You don't have to be in the wilderness to appreciate silence. That is something you can do no matter where you reside. It's more of a condition of being than anything else. It's merely a place where you can be alone if you take the time to draw aside once a day. where you can notice things that aren't part of your daily routine. Create a little space where your heart can breathe, where your soul can smile. For a while, the pace and bustle of life will fade away and you will be able to soak up peace. The words that silence whispers into your heart will then be heard. I believe that beauty is a master key. It reaches and unlocks all the hidden places. Beauty replenishes those spots that have been trampled and damaged, those places that are in need of mending. Beauty is nourishing. Beauty soothes the soul and heals the body. It has a significant impact on the geography of your heart. Throughout your day, look around, you will find it. Go outside and welcome the sun. Speak with the moon. Tell the tiny bloom how lovely it is. After that, return it to the world. Isn't that the point of life?

Gratitude for this life, for the one life we have on this planet. It's quite valuable, Isn't it?
